FAQs

Here are some of the things we’re often asked – from how our walks work to what to pack for boarding. If there’s anything else you’d like to know, just get in touch. We’re always happy to chat.

  • What do you mean by mindful walks?
It’s about quality, not just distance. We focus on giving your dog time to sniff, explore and enjoy the walk at their own pace. No stress, no rushing – just fresh air, connection and enrichment.
  • What happens after a walk?
We’ll towel your dog down if they’re wet or muddy and make sure they’re settled before we leave. We’ll wipe paws, top up water bowls if needed and give them a little fuss and calm before heading off. You’ll get a quick message or photo update too, so you know they’re home safe and happy.
  • What about puppies or elderly dogs?
With our 'dog first' approach, we tailor walks for younger or older dogs who need a gentler pace. That might mean a shorter stroll, some garden time, or just a bit of company and reassurance. We’ll always chat with you first to understand what’s best for your dog’s age, energy and routine.
  • Do you offer group walks or solo walks?
Both! It depends on your dog’s personality and needs. Some dogs thrive with a little company, others prefer a calm solo stroll. We'll chat with you to find the right fit.
  • How Long Is A Dog Walk
It all depends on your dog’s needs, energy levels and the weather. You know them best and what session to book. We never rush, it’s all about giving your dog a good stretch, a good sniff and a positive experience. Shorter or longer walks can be booked, just ask. The slot booked includes towelling and settling your dog as well as the walk itself.
  • How many dogs do you walk at once?
No more than four, and only when it’s safe and suitable. We keep walks small and well-matched so every dog gets the attention they deserve.
  • What’s your approach to walks and care?
We keep things calm, personal and paced to suit each dog. We don’t do hectic group walks or rushed drop-ins – just steady, mindful time outdoors and proper one-to-one attention. We treat your dog like one of our own.
  • Where will my dog stay for home boarding?
With us – in our home. No kennels, no cages. Just a calm, dog-friendly space where they’re treated like one of the family.
  • What should I pack for my dog’s stay?
We’ll send you a little checklist before their visit, but it usually includes food, lead, bed, favourite toys, any medication and contact details for your vet.
  • Can I bring my dog’s bed and toys?
Yes please, this is really important as familiar items help your dog feel at home. You’re welcome to bring their bed, blanket, toys, and anything else that makes them feel settled.
  • Do you board more than one dog at a time?
We keep it small and personal. If we do have more than one dog staying, it’s only if we know they get on well. Your dog’s comfort and safety always come first.
  • Will my dog be left alone?
Only very occasionally and never for long. Most of the time, one of us is at home. If we do pop out briefly, it’s always after a good walk, and we’ll make sure your dog is settled and safe before we go.
  • Will I get updates while I’m away?
Definitely. We’ll send you a message or photo each day so you can relax knowing your dog’s happy, well cared for and enjoying their holiday too.
  • How do I book or enquire?
Just head to our Contact page and send us a message. We’ll get back to you quickly and let you know availability or next steps.
  • What areas do you cover?
We’re based near Cleethorpes and cover Grimsby, Humberston and surrounding areas. If you're slightly outside, just ask – we’ll do our best.
  • Are you insured and DBS checked?
Yes – we're fully insured, CRB (DBS) checked and trained in canine first aid. Safety and trust are at the heart of everything we do.
  • Do you do meet and greets?
Definitely. We like to meet you and your dog first, either at home or on a short walk, to make sure everyone feels comfortable and happy.
  • Do you care for dogs with health needs or on medication?
Absolutely. We’re happy to follow any medication routine and adjust our care to suit your dog’s health or mobility needs. Just let us know the details when we chat.
  • Can you help with nervous or reactive dogs?
Yes – we’re patient and experienced with dogs who need a little extra care. We’ll start slow, give them space, and work with you to build their confidence over time.
  • I work shifts – can you help with that?
We know that work, life, events don't all happen in the 9-5. So we're happy to work around shift patterns wherever we can. We know routines change week to week, so just let us know your schedule and we’ll do our best to offer flexible walks, drop-ins or overnight care that fits around you and your dog.
  • Do you offer visits for feeding or company?
Yes – if you're out for the day or away overnight, we can pop in to feed, fuss, walk or just spend time with your dog. We can also water plants, take bins out or check the house while you’re away.
